Refund Policy

Introduction

At hi3amigos, your satisfaction with our artisan chocolate bars, gourmet fruit gummies, loose leaf teas, specialty drink mixes, and gourmet food products is important to us. This Refund Policy explains when and how you may return products for a refund, exchange, or replacement.

By placing an order with hi3amigos, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. Due to the consumable nature of many of our products, certain conditions apply to returns and refunds. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.

Return Eligibility

hi3amigos accepts return requests within 30 days of the delivery date for a full refund of the product purchase price, subject to the conditions below.

To be eligible for a return:

  • The product must be unused, unopened, and in its original packaging.
  • Proof of purchase, such as an order number, is required.
  • You must contact us to obtain a Return Authorization number before sending your return.
  • Returns sent without a valid Return Authorization number may not be accepted or processed.

Non-Returnable Items

For health, safety, and quality reasons, the following items cannot be returned or refunded:

  • Opened or used products of any kind, including artisan chocolate bars, gourmet fruit gummies, loose leaf teas, drink mixes, gift sets, and other consumable items.
  • Products with broken, damaged, or missing seals.
  • Gift cards or digital gift certificates.
  • Clearance, final sale, or promotional items marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase.
  • Gift sets that have been opened or are missing individual components.
  • Products purchased from third-party retailers.
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or failure to follow product instructions.

Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or contains incorrect products, hi3amigos will review the issue and provide an appropriate resolution. Depending on the situation, this may include a replacement, refund, or store credit.

Please provide:

  • Your order number.
  • Clear photos showing the damage, defect, or incorrect product.
  • A brief description of the issue.

After reviewing your claim, we may send a replacement product at no cost or issue a refund to your original payment method.

Refund Process

Once we receive your returned product or approve your claim for damage or defect, we will inspect the item and process your refund according to the following timeline:

  • Approval notification: within 3–5 business days after inspection.
  • Refund processing: within 5–10 business days.
  • Credit posting: typically 3–7 additional business days depending on your bank or payment provider.

All refunds are issued to the original payment method used at checkout.

Partial Refunds

In certain situations, we may issue partial refunds at our discretion, including but not limited to:

  • Products not returned in their original condition.
  • Returns initiated after the 30-day return window.
  • Orders where free shipping was provided and the returned items reduce the order value below the free shipping threshold.

In these cases, actual shipping costs may be deducted from the refund amount.

Return Shipping Costs

For returns due to customer preference or change of mind, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

For returns due to our error, such as an incorrect item being shipped, we will cover return shipping costs and provide instructions.

For damaged or defective items, we will cover return shipping costs when a return is required.

For international orders, return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Contact us at hello@hi3amigos.com or +1 (416) 593-7776 within 30 days of delivery.
  2. Provide your order number and reason for the return.
  3. Wait for a Return Authorization number and instructions.
  4. Package the product securely in its original packaging.
  5. Write the Return Authorization number clearly on the outside of the package.
  6. Ship the return according to the instructions provided.

We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance for high-value returns. hi3amigos is not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit without tracking or insurance.

Exchanges

hi3amigos does not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please initiate a return for a refund, subject to eligibility requirements, and place a new order.

The only exception is for damaged or defective products, where we may send a replacement of the same product at no additional cost.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you have received confirmation that your refund has been processed but the credit has not appeared in your account:

  • Check your bank account again.
  • Contact your credit card provider.
  • Contact your bank for additional processing information.

If more than 15 business days have passed since refund approval, contact us at hello@hi3amigos.com and we will assist you.
